AKIPRESS.COM - A newly built bridge in Tes district of Mongolia's Uvs province collapsed in late April during a heavy rain, reported The UB Post.
The bridge was commissioned by the Roads and Transportation Ministry, worth 5.38 billion togrog (around US$2.7 million). Its length was 325 meters. The concrete bridge was built by the China's HKB International Holding LLC of China, and was commissioned in September 2012.
The locals became angry because of poor work by the Chinese contractor. The Uvs province officials didn’t comment on what will happen with the collapsed bridge next.
