AKIPRESS.COM - India's External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj who has been hospitalized since Monday will miss an important bilateral meeting with her visiting Mongolian counterpart Lundeg Purevsuren, according to The Hindu.
“A medical team of specialists is looking after her. Her current condition is stable and she is showing signs of improvement,” an All India Institutes of Medical Sciences' press release says.
Purevsuren is likely to sign an agreement with the Indian Ministry of External Affairs operationalizing the $1-billion loan that Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared during his May 2015 visit to Mongolia.
In Swaraj absence, Minister of State Vijay Kumar Singh has been filling in for her. On Thursday, both sides are expected to discuss the Asia Europe Meeting which will be held in July in the Mongolian capital of Ulaanbaatar.
