Kyrgyzstani man saves woman falling on subway rails in Moscow

AKIPRESS.COM - Главное фотоA 28-year-old Kyrgyzstani man has saved the life of a woman who fell on tracks in Moscow subway.

Marat Isayev said he did not realize that he could get killed by a train when he just jumped down to the tracks after he saw the woman fell losing her consciousness.

He said he went down to help policeman trying to pull up the woman.

"The policeman and I were trying to lift the woman up and saw the train coming. The woman had an epilepsy. She was shaking badly. And then we heard the train signaling. I thought that the train won't stop and smash us," he commented.

"We dragged the woman in between the rails tray and lied down ourselves. I was under the train. It was really terrifying. The train stopped and the driver shouted not to move, otherwise the voltage would kill us. When the voltage was turned off, we got out. And only then I realized that it is me who needs help. Only then I realized I could die," said Isayev.

The saved woman identified as Julia Val did not really get what was happening when she woke up. She just saw men trying to pull her out under the train, said Isayev.

"She was frightened and started to beat me. She does not remember anything," he said. "The crowd on the platform wanted to shake hands with me."

Marat Isayev works as a courier in Moscow.
