AKIPRESS.COM - Assistant Secretary of State Daniel Russel will travel to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia from September 8-9 for annual bilateral consultations, the press service of the U.S. Department of State reported.
During his trip, the Assistant Secretary will meet with senior officials in order to strengthen the partnership, and to congratulate Mongolia on its 25th anniversary of democracy.
Prior to Mongolia, Russel will travel to Naypyidaw and Rangoon, Burma from September 3-5 to meet with senior Burmese government officials and civil society, as well as to Beijing from September 6-8 to meet senior Chinese officials and discuss a range of issues of importance to the bilateral relationship.
