Kazakh athlete sets world record lifting 250kg in clean and jerk

Ilya Iliyn, Kazakhstan's most celebrated weightlifter, has authored another World Record, Tengrinews reports.
Iliyn achieved a record in clean and jerk in London with 233 kg. Later, at the World Championship in 2014, Iliyn updated the record with 242 kg in clean and jerk.
During this night's training, Iliyn set another record by lifting 250 kg in clean and jerk.
"Night training. Clean and jerk – 250 kg. World record!!!" Iliyn posted on his Instagram page early in the morning today.
He will be representing Kazakhstan in -105 kg class at the Rio Olympics 2016 in August.
