AKIPRESS.COM - Myongji Hospital in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province of South Korea, has won a contract to manage medical centers in Mongolia, The Korea Times report citing the press service of the hospital.
Under the project organized by the Gyeonggi provincial government, the hospital will help its Mongol counterpart establish medical infrastructure including building hospitals.
A team of experts from the hospital will visit national hospitals in Bayangol in Ulaanbaatar next month as well as 21 other community centers there to better understand the specific needs of the local people.
The project will include training medical staff there, developing medical education programs, as well as setting up infrastructure for remote medical services.
Aiming to build an international health center in Bayangol by the end of 2016, the two sides have been building partnership since last year.
Myongji Hospital opened its office in Bayangol last November.
