AKIPRESS.COM - As a result of the collision of BMW car and a truck, 5 people were killed on Jul 21, the police said.

The collision took place on the 11th km of the Shymkent-Tashkent highway in South Kazakhstan.

5 people were trapped inside the BMW. Driver and his 3 passengers died at the scene, the 2-year-old toddler girl died later on in the hospital.

Upon arrival of the rescuers to the accident site, the baby was alive.

"A child injured in a terrible road accident in South Kazakhstan received injuries incompatible with life," said surgeon at the emergency hospital of Shymkent Talgat Shauenov.
