Kazakhstan, China ready to sign deal for contruction of 38 industrial enterprises: Nazarbayev

AKIPRESS.COM - aaa91ecc5759bece0a2d0fe54e3fea7e Kazakhstan and China are close to conclude an agreement for the construction of almost 38 industrial enterprises, Kazakhstani President Nursultan Nazarbayev said in an interview aired by the Russia 24 TV news channel on Tuesday.

"We are about to sign a very big contract with China for the construction of about 38 enterprises," Kazakhstan’s head of state said, reports TASS.

More than 20 agreements will be signed by private Kazakhstani companies.

Earlier, Kazakhstani Prime Minister Karim Maximov said that China suggested relocating a number of its enterprises of the non-energy sector to Kazakhstan.

"In the bilateral format, this is the first project whose experience will probably be transferred to other SCO member states. The talk is about dozens of enterprises of the non-energy sector and multibillion contracts," Maximov told a briefing after a meeting of the Council of the SCO heads of government in Astana, Kazakhstan, in December last year.
