AKIPRESS.COM - The marathon talks in the Normandy format which have lasted for over 12 hours may end with the signing of a document on the Ukrainian crisis settlement, a diplomatic source close to the Minsk negotiations said on Thursday.

"No matter how this document will be called — a declaration or a statement, but it is planned that it will envisage particular measures on settling the situation, namely 12 or 13 points," the source told TASS.

The talks of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, French President Francois Hollande and German Chancellor Angela Merkel, which began late on Wednesday, lasted throughout the night and have not ended so far.

These are the lengthiest talks in President Putin’s career.
