AKIPRESS.COM - Kazakhstan imported 644 billion KWh of electricity last year, said Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan Vladimir Shkolnik at today's Government hour in the Mazhilis of the Parliament.
“Import of electrical energy was 644 billion of KWh in 2014, export – 2 billion 9 million KWh,” Shkolnik said.
73% of energy was produced from coal, 18% from gas, renewable sources including small HES produced 0,6% of energy.
It is planned to increase the share of "green" energy production by 3% until 2020, 10% - until 2030, 50% - by 2050, he said.
