AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov has received Ambassador of Slovenia to Turkmenistan Mr. Primož Sheligo who arrived to Turkmen capital on a working visit, the press service of the Turkmen MFA said.

During the talks the sides discussed the issues that are related to the organization of the official visit of President of Turkmenistan to Slovenia later this year. They also exchanged views on the agenda of the upcoming meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Slovenian Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation, scheduled to be held in late January in Ljubljana.

The sides expressed their interest in further strengthening the political dialogue, as well as the development of cooperation within international organizations, in the development of bilateral cooperation potential in the economic field, cultural and humanitarian spheres, noted the importance of expanding the legal framework and the interaction of the business circles of the two countries.

They also exchanged views on cooperation between Turkmenistan and the EU, as well as on a number of regional and international issues.

The parties also noted the importance of intensifying political consultations and regular contacts for further development of intergovernmental relations.
