AKIPRESS.COM - Tajikistan imports around 90% of oil products from Russia, Deputy Chief of the Customs Service Nuriddin Makhmadov told the press conference in Dushanbe on Wednesday.
Share of other countries in total imports of oils and lubricants was slight in 2014 – Kazakhstan with 8.4% and Turkmenistan with 2.8%.
In 2014, the country imported nearly 580 thousand tons of oil products worth $508 million, including over 246 thousand tons of petrol, 245 thousand tons of diesel fuel, 60.5 thousand tons of jet fuel, and 16 thousand tons of mazut.
Import of oil products generally grew by 218 thousand tons last year compared to 2013. The rate increased by $129 million in monetary terms, Makhmadov noticed.
