AKIPRESS.COM - Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Austria - Permanent Representative of Kazakhstan to the International Organizations in Vienna Kairat Sarybai has presented the credentials to President of Slovenia Borut Pahor on January 12 in Ljubljana, the Foreign Ministry of Kazakhstan said yesterday.

During the meeting, the Kazakh diplomat passed the greetings of President Nursultan Nazarbayev to Slovenian leader, noted that Kazakhstan is interested in expanding mutual investments and stressed the importance of the upcoming international specialized exhibition "EXPO-2017" in Astana, which can become an effective platform for participation of Slovenian companies.

They underlined that the new economic policy “Nurly Zhol” and the second phase of the program of industrial and innovative development can stimulate participation of the Slovenian companies in infrastructure projects in Kazakhstan.

President Pahor expressed gratitude for warm greetings of the President of Kazakhstan and noted that Ljubljana attached great importance to the Kazakh-Slovenian relations. He commended the state of bilateral trade and economic cooperation and emphasized significant potential for further development.

The special attention was paid to issues of strengthening of scientific and cultural exchanges between the two countries.

President of Slovenia Pakhor forwarded the best regards to President Nazarbayev and invited him to pay an official visit to Slovenia.
