AKIPRESS.COM - President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko is set to visit Kazakhstan in the first half of 2015, charge d'affaires of Ukraine in Kazakhstan Yuri Lazebnik told a press conference on Tuesday, reports Kazinform.

"Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko will pay a visit to Kazakhstan in the 1Q 2015. The 12th meeting of the Kazakhstani-Ukrainian interstate commission for economic cooperation is to be held ahead of the visit. The countries are keen to implement bilateral projects in the sphere of aircraft engineering and space research," Mr. Lazebnik said at a press conference at the Ukrainian Embassy in Kazakhstan.

Speaking of Kazakhstan's role in peaceful settlement of the ongoing crisis in Ukraine, the Ukrainian diplomat announced that preparations for a summit level meeting of Ukraine, France, Russia and Germany in Astana are underway.

"The Kazakh side has reiterated its readiness to host the meeting as soon as the dates are agreed. As has been pointed out on numerous occasions by the Ukrainian President the meeting will take place only if the Minsk Accords reached in early September 2014 are fully observed," he concluded.
