Interpol has issued an arrest warrant for Viktor Yanukovych, the former Ukrainian president who was ousted in a revolution last February, reports The Guardian.
Mr Yanukovych, 64, is wanted on charges of embezzlement and financial wrongdoing, according to a notice posted on the organisation's website on Monday.
Ukraine says the so-called red notice allows any police force in the world to apprehend Mr Yanukovych, who has been living in Russia since his overthrow nearly a year ago.
Ukrainian authorities accuse Mr Yanukovych of presiding over a culture of systematic corruption that enriched a small circle of relatives and close associates during his four years in power.
