AKIPRESS.COM - The Tajik Foreign Ministry recommends the citizens of the Central Asian republic to temporarily refrain from traveling to Yemen, the press service said.
"Due to the complex security environment in the Yemen Arab Republic and increasing cases of kidnapping of foreign nationals in this country, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan recommends the Tajik citizens to temporarily avoid travelling to Yemen," reads the message.
Tajik citizens, who at present are in this country advised to exercise additional caution, avoid attendance of places of riotous assembly of people or different groups and in case of deterioration of situation in Yemen leave this country.
Yemen has been in turmoil since mass protests in 2011 forced long-ruling president Ali Abdullah Saleh to step down. Tensions increased after the Houthi takeover of Sanaa in September.
