Chemical industry output 13.7% up in Akmola region - governor

AKIPRESS.COM - kulagin The chemical industry output grew by 13.7% in Akmola region this year, Governor of the region Sergey Kalugin a CCS media briefing.

According to him, the index of actual volume in the chemical industry made 113.7% in 11 months of 2014.

The regional enterprises have significant reserves to increase the production of plant protection products (AstanaNanChemicals LLP), concentrates of rare-earth metals (SARECO JV LLP), sulfuric acids (Kazatomprom LLP).

Positive trends are preserved in the non-ferrous metallurgy (index of actual volume – 128.3%), food production industry (index of actual volume – 109.7%). There are opportunities for production increase in the construction industry as well.
