AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyz citizens and other citizens with resident permit in Kyrgyzstan travelling to the Czech Republic can apply for Schengen visa at the Embassy of Switzerland in Bishkek starting from 15 January 2015.

The Embassy of Switzerland in Bishkek treats applications for short term visas up to 90 days. Applications for national visas have to be handed in at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Kazakhstan.

All clients are requested to apply personally at the Swiss Embassy as biometric data of all applicants is required.

The Schengen wide Visa Information System simplifies visa procedures, facilitates checks at the external border crossing points of the Schengen zone and ensures security of the visa holders.

Currently, the Embassy of Switzerland in Bishkek issues visas for Switzerland, Poland, Slovenia, Estonia and Latvia.
