United States congratulate Kazakhstan on Independence Day

AKIPRESS.COM - us flag The U.S. Mission to Kazakhstan has sent greetings and best wishes to the people of Kazakhstan on Independence Day celebrated on December 16.

The United States was the first country to establish an Embassy in Kazakhstan, so this December also marks 23 years of U.S.-Kazakhstani relations, noted the Embassy in its telegram. "Through our continuing Strategic Partnership Dialogue, the people of the United States and Kazakhstan continue to work closely together to improve economic ties, chart a responsible and reliable energy future, promote innovation through cooperation on science and technology, and enhance regional and global security."

On December 10, 2014, Kazakhstani Foreign Minister Erlan Idrissov and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry met to recognize the significant progress that has been made in the bilateral relationship, highlighted the robust and growing ties between Kazakhstan and the United States, and reaffirmed their commitment to further deepen the strategic partnership.

"As you celebrate this special day, know that the United States joins with you in honoring Kazakhstan's cultural heritage and working together towards a peaceful and prosperous future," reads the message.
