AKIPRESS.COM - Pension payments for elders will grow in Kazakhstan, said Vice Minister of Health and Social Development of Kazakhstan Svetlana Zhakupova at a press conference of Central Communications Service.
“We have developed a concept for the modernization of the pension system, which provides for an increase of pension payments. Primarily, it concerns people who have retired in the 90s. If they get 10,450 tenge today, then later they will get over 20,000 tenge,” said Zhakupova.
The Deputy Minister noted that the pension benefits for world veterans make up today 90,000 tenge.
According to the Ministry, about 1.7 million elderly people live in Kazakhstan.
