Canadians celebrate International Bacon Day Aug. 27

AKIPRESS.COM - bacon Hundreds of Canadian bacon lovers gathered at La Guilde Culinaire cooking school on St.Laurent boulevard on August 27 night to celebrate Bacon Day.

Bacon treats for all meals were served up. There were even scratch and sniff bacon T-shirts, writes Monreal Gazette.

“Bacon goes well with eggs, but there’s so much more that can be done with it,” explained Jonathan Garnier, from La Guilde Culinaire.

“You can use it for the main course to dessert. It can be really fun.”

The event was held in collaboration with Quebec’s Pork producers.
