Azerbaijan, Tajikistan ready for further development of bilateral ties

Bishkek (AKIpress) - tacikistan_embassy_azerbaijan Azerbaijan Ambassador to Tajikistan Abbasali Hasanov met with Foreign Minister of Tajikistan Sirodzhidin Aslov in Dushanbe, Trend reported.

Minister Aslov stressed the positive dynamic development of bilateral relations mentioning his official visit to Azerbaijan this year, meetings with President Ilham Aliyev, Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov and Minister of Economy and Industry Shahin Mustafayev.

During the meeting on August 26, the sides exchanged views on development of non-ferrous metallurgy, agricultural industry, power engineering, transport and communications, oil and its processing, hydro-power engineering.

They emphasized the necessity to resume a direct Dushanbe-Baku flight since its absence prevents stepping up the bilateral relations.

Attraction of Azerbaijani investments in Tajik economy, Tajikistan's joining the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway through the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Tajikistan project were covered as well.

Moreover, the sides discussed holding of the exhibition of Azerbaijani industrial goods, a business forum with participation of businessmen of the two countries, as well as of the third session of the intergovernmental commission on trade-economic, scientific and cultural cooperation.
