International investment forum to take place in Khorog this month

Bishkek (AKIpress) - An international investment forum, Pamir Invest 2014, will take place in Khorog, the capital of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region on August 15-16, according to the Association of Entrepreneurs and Mountain Farmers.

The event is organized by the Association of Entrepreneurs and Mountain Farmers and the Public Foundation to Promote Cross-border Trade Cooperation jointly with the Gorno-Badakhshan's regional administration, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the State Committee on Investment and State-Owned Property Management.

The forum is expected to bring together local and foreign investors, entrepreneurs and representatives of international organizations active in Tajikistan to discuss development of production enterprises in the region on the basis of use of domestic raw materials and attraction of local and foreign investments.

The participants will also discuss opportunities of development of tourism and relevant industries in Gorno-Badakhshan and efficient use of economic opportunities of the Free Economic Zone Ishkashim.

A fair of products of local entrepreneurs and craftsmen will take place on the sideline of a two-day forum that is expected to result in signing of a number of cooperation documents.
