Bishkek (AKIpress) - The State Committee for Communication, Information and Telecommunication Technologies of Uzbekistan conducted a board meeting to sum up the results of development of information and communications technology in the country in the first half of 2014.
Thus, ICT enterprises of the country provided services worth 1.93 trillion sum (around $840.4 million) for the period; the growth made 125.4% against the same period 2013.
The overall speed of information networks has increased by 15% and made 11.8 Gbit/s in comparison with the beginning of 2014.
The number of installed ports for provision of broadband access to Internet reached 613 thousand; the number of used ports increased by 154.6%.
