AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan Sharif Rakhimzoda met with the Ambassador of Turkmenistan, Ishanguly Amanliyev.
The sides noticed that trade turnover between the two countries amounted to $47.3 million in the first half of the year. Turkmenistan mainly exported vegetables, fruits and aluminum wire. Tajikistan, in turn, imported vegetable oil, liquefied gas and oil products.
They considered various aspects of economic cooperation and development of the foreign trade turnover between the countries, implementation of joint projects, including construction of the railway Tajikistan-Afghanistan-Turkmenistan, gas transit pipeline, organization of fairs, business forums.
The Ambassador expressed readiness to establish mutually beneficial cooperation in priority sectors of economy.
