AKIPRESS.COM - Uzbekistan carried out construction and rehabilitation of 213.6 kilometers of roads in the first half of 2014, according to the State Statistics Committee.
The country also rehabilitated 88 km of railway roads, produced 272 cargo and 13 passenger cars.
Around 425 billion sum ($185 million) of capital investments were directed to construction and rehabilitation of roads, including 257 billion sum of the National Road Fund, and $73 million of foreign loans attracted under the guarantee of the Government.
Uzbekistan used $20.3 million within implementation of the project on electrification of Marakand-Karshi railroad; and $12.1 million within the project on electrification of Karshi-Termez railroad.
