AKIPRESS.COM - Militaries from Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan are to take part in the Frontier-2014 military exercises to be held in Chelyabinsk Region, spokesman for the Central Military District, Colonel Yaroslav Roshchupkin, said Tuesday, reports The Voice of Russia.
"Representatives of the army forces of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan, as well as of the united headquarters and secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization will take part in joint command-and-staff training exercises, with the collective rapid deployment forces of the Central Asian Region in Frontier-2014," Roshchupkin said.
Drills will start on July 15, at the Cherbakul firing range. The Collective Security Treaty Organization targets the all-round development of political cooperation, advancing military aspects, and combating international terrorism, extremism, illegal drug and weapons trafficking, among other threats.
