AKIPRESS.COM - Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Joomart Otorbayev on June 17 met with Aga Khan Development Network Resident Representative Nurjehan Mawani, reported the government's press service.

Joomart Otorbayev thanked AKDN for assistance provided to Kyrgyzstan in resolution of socio-economic problems. The Prime Minister underlined importance of expansion of AKDN projects in remote regions of the country in improvement of education, health care services, micro-finances, energy sector, agribusiness support, provision of accession to safe drinking water.

The Prime Minister reminded he visited the construction site of the campus of the University of Central Asia in Naryn during his recent working trip to the region.

“UCA is a very important project that will contribute to investment attractiveness of the region, creation of a big number of work places, general improvement of socio-economic situation in Naryn region. We are interested in the soonest completion of construction of the campus,” Prime Minister Otorbayev said and added the government will continue providing support to the project.

Nurjehan Mawani informed the Prime Minister about progress of projects in the country and underlined AKDN will further pay a big attention to development of the regions, using inclusive approach.

PM Otorbayev praised the quality, relevance and timeliness of AKDN projects and wished further successful work to the Network.
