Government of Kazakhstan reviews Samruk-Kazyna's list of companies for privatization

AKIPRESS.COM - samruk kazyna The Government of Kazakhstan has reviewed the list of Samruk-Kazyna Group's companies planned to transfer to a private sector within the privatization program for 2014-2016, the press service of the Group said.

Implementation of the privatization program is aimed at reducing state's role in national economy and at strengthening its bases at the expense of increase in a share of a private sector in it.

In 2014-2016 to the market will be planned to offer various share blocks and shares of ownership in 103 affiliated organizations of Samruk-Kazyna Group. There are JSC National Company Kazakhstan TemirZholy, National Company KazMunayGas, KazAtomProm, Samruk-Energy, KEGOC, Maykainzoloto, and etc.

The shares in 93 companies are offered to be implemented through auctions with possible involvement of strategic investors and 10 companies will be removed on the stock market, also National IPO program.

«We will use the best efforts to implement the Program in the specified terms. However, the delays caused by a number of factors are possible: so, the conclusion of the companies to IPO will depend on a market situation, and implementation of assets - on readiness of a private sector to purchase offered assets. Thus terms and methods of privatization can be adjusted in the future», - the Chairman of the Board of Fund Umirzak Shukeyev noted.

He also assured that the Fund intends to carry out work on privatization of the assets supreme transparent and on a frequent basis to publish the program implementations this about a course.
