AKIPRESS.COM - Karim Masimov is effective as a politician who is able to conduct productive cooperation policy with Russia and China, analyst Talgat Mamyrayimov said.

“In terms of economic cooperation with these countries, Masimov is appropriate political figure,” said the expert in an interview with Kapital.kz. “China, in this regard, is even more important partner for Kazakhstan than the Russian Federation,” the expert believes.

“Masimov's leadership will allow Kazakhstan to develop ties with China,” he said.

Commenting on the resignation of Serik Akhmetov, the expert noted that Akhmetov fulfilled his mission in terms of making unpopular reforms. “I mean pension reforms, devaluation of tenge, and general failures at social and economic policy,” said the expert.
