AKIPRESS.COM - President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev believes Karim Masimov is an effective crisis manager as he headed the Government in the crisis years of 2007-2009, said director of the Risk Assessment Group expert Dosym Satpayev.
Kazakhstan now faces new challenges and risks - Customs Union and the WTO accession, as well as incomprehensible situation due to the events in Ukraine, the expert notes.
In a conversation with Reuters, the analyst explained Masimov's coming back with a “short substitutes' bench” of the President.
“It is not even a bench, it is a chair,” Satpayev said.
"Multi-vectored policy of Kazakhstan has not been canceled: Astana builds relations with both Russia and China, as well as other neighboring countries and the West,” notes Satpayev stressing the trust of Nazarbayev in Masimov.
