Alternatives to arrests become more common in Kazakhstan - Deputy Prosecutor General

Bishkek (AKIpress) - prosecutor gen Deputy Prosecutor General of Kazakhstan Nurmakhanbet Issayev told about the measures taken for implementation of the instructions given the President of Kazakhstan in his Address to the Nation.

Speaking during the media briefing at the Central Communications Service today in Astana, he noted that alternatives to arrest measures became more common in Kazakhstan.

“In November 2013, the Prosecutor General gave instructions to widely use bail as an alternative to the arrest. As you know this is a general practice globally. It has barely been used in our country before. However, there are all the reasons to work in this direction," said Issayev.
