Almaty region reveals over 200 violations of environmental laws in March

AKIPRESS.COM - 9baf2eaa292beca851dea380c3f93181 Almaty region has revealed 208 violations of environmental laws within the Tabigat (nature) preventive action, the press office of the Interior Affairs Department of the region reported.

The Tabigat initiative was organized by the police from March 15 to 24. According to the results of the working group, more than 200 charges were brought against violators of environmental laws.

More than 130 people were brought to justice for violation of hunting rules, for violations of fisheries - 43, for illegal felling of trees – 17, said in the message of the Department.

30 weapons (nets, electric rods, boats) were seized from the violators. In addition, the police seized 52 firearms, 7 of which are illegal, said the message.

11 criminal probes have been launched based on the facts of violations.
